As the SA service provider for over 15 years, Cochrane’s has a strong and committed relationship with Mitre 10 and its SA stores. Mitre 10 (part of the Metcash Group) has now committed to a new contract with Cochrane’s that will run through until 2018.
The new agreement follows an annual review of performance and service. It includes additional Mitre 10 branding on Cochrane’s vehicles and a new EDI solution to simplify paperwork processes. Cochrane’s offers a wide range of services to Mitre 10, including all linehaul from Melbourne to South Australia, distribution across all SA stores (and Broken Hill), container deconsolidation and distribution, and reverse logistics.
Mitre 10, formed in 1959, is the second largest player in the Australian home improvement and hardware industry, with an independent and local retail network of over 450 Mitre 10 and True Value Hardware stores.
